Holiday Home Tour 2018

This year’s Holiday Home Tour is filled with WHITE & BRIGHT and I’m loving it! Every year I always try to add some pops of Christmas red but this year, I did pops of pink! I’m going to try and link as much as possible of you guys but some decor items will vary (I’ll let you know which ones throughout the post) because I do have some things that I just LOVE from previous years.  ENJOY!

I used a flocked faux Christmas tree that I purchased last year from Lowes.  Unfortunately it is not available online anymore but here is a similar one I’m loving.  My favorite part of this tree is that the lights are BIG and there are so many different settings for them.

This year I used a blanket as a tree skirt.  Purchased this super soft and cozy blanket from Pottery barn on sale for under $30! Works perfect for the tree skirt and then I can continue to use it all winter long in our living room.

As you can see I used mainly white ornaments on our tree with pops of gold, silver and PINK. Texture is so important when decorating a tree so make sure to add lots of different ones. For example, along with the classic bulbs, I add glitzy branches, white pom garland, snowflake ornaments, pinecones, etc. I’ve been collecting my ornaments over the years but saw so many of them still in the store this year. I mainly get mine from Pottery Barn, Target and Michaels.

So excited about our mantle this year!  And its so affordable to do something like this. Our knit stockings are from target last year but still sold there!  Other items from target include my dollar section white houses and trees which are my favorite to use all over the house. Our white start lights (also dollar section but not online so I can’t link them) are some of my favorites and you may be able to get them in store. But for now I’ll link my favorite twinkle lights that I literally use on EVERYTHING in my house to add a little extra holiday charm. and my stocking holders.  Similar pretty deer ones are still sold at Target. The garland is from Michaels and I love the frosted look they gave these greens with a touch of pine cone throughout.

When I was in the dollar section again at Target I found these perfect pink and white trees and added them throughout the mantle for a completed look!

Since all of the bottle brush trees are from the target dollar section (MAJOR SCORE) I can’t link them. But if you can’t find anymore in store here is a set I love from amazon and would look so pretty scattered around your house.

This entertainment center piece always gets touches of reindeer, and white! Again, so many affordable Target options, and the rest is homegoods!  My tall chippy white mirror window is from an amazing home decor boutique in the Strip District in Pittsburgh. Adding lights or a wreath to a mirror like this adds a pop of holiday to any room! And I know you’ve heard me talk about these before, but these pottery barn flicker candles are the BEST and look so real.  Worth the investment.

It’s a must to incorporate new pillows seasonally! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you can never own too many throw pillows! This Merry one is from two years ago but here is an alternative that I love too! And the pink and sherpa ones I just bought are linked here too!

Our bar cart is always one of my favorites and lately I’ve been loving simplicity. Just a few touches of green and gold and not too much on the bar cart all at once.  Too much shoved onto one bar cart makes it look cluttered.

I always love some staple glasses, a decanter, florals and napkins on mine.  Again, I tried to keep it white and bright! However, I’m LOVING the pops of MacKenzie Childs in my kitchen with all the greenery. Gives it such a clean, classic look.

I also added these frosted branches from Michaels (similar to the mantle) to a large glass vase on my dining table. Such and EASY element that adds a huge WOW factor. Go big or go home, right!? Again, keeping things simple is sometimes such a classic, clean look.

And every year I love to add these white faux fur wreaths to the inside of my dining room doors.

And finally this hallway piece.  I literally threw all the extra stuff I had on this and its an incomplete job and not staying this way. However, I wanted to show you how to drape garland over a mirror to add some texture. Also, featuring the BEST pottery barn flicker birch candles. And these reindeer are from Target last year. My baby it’s cold outside sign was made for my baby shower decor for Cash and I just love the way it looks in my house every winter.
