Summer Sunset Eye Tutorial

So many of you have requested my summer sunset eye makeup look so I’m finally getting a tutorial on here for you beauty lovers to always access! The best part of this tutorial is that you can these techniques with any 3 color palette you own.  Right now I’m absolutely obsessed with the Too Faced “Natural Eyes” palette. I promise this is such a great investment for all your summer eye looks! I will link everything I use at the bottom of this post!

Summer Sunset Eyes:

STEP 1:

After I apply my eye concealer, I use a basic eyeshadow brush to apply the color “Heaven” from my lower eyelid to my eyebrow.  This gives your eyes an instant pop and adds a shimmering dimension to the entire look!

STEP 2:

Next, I use the color “Honey Pot” for that sultry summer glow.  I have found that the pigment shows up best if I use my ring finger and press the color onto my lower eyelid. Start from the corner of your lid and work your way out.  Depending on how intense you want your look, you can add more or less of this color.  I love to add more of this color rather than less because it’s so subtle anyways.

STEP 3:

I use a medium size eyeshadow blending brush to add a soft, yet smoky feature to this look with the color “Chocolate Martini.”  This adds that “wow” factor!  I start from the corner of my eyelid and gently blend this color in a sideways “V” motion until I get the right amount of depth and darkness to the color that I prefer.  Again, you can add more or less of this color.

STEP 4:

Using the color “Silk Teddy,”  and a large, soft blending brush, blend all the colors together.  Start from the corner of your eye and gently add a little of this color all over.  DONT USE TOO MUCH, or you will loose the sultry, smoky detail.  Just a couple gentle strokes of this color.  Doing this allows for a smooth transition of colors all over your eyes.

STEP 5:

Add eyeliner on the top lid!  This makes your eyes appear bigger with this look.  I use my favorite liner, “they’re real,”  to get a light winged look.

STEP 6:

Add you’re favorite mascara and there you have it!  An easy, everyday summer eye look that will have your eyes popping like no other!  Also, if you use this “Natural Eyes” palette, you can accomplish varied looks by using these techniques!
