I have been obsessed with smoothies for years! They’re always my go to meal replacement option over anything else. When I lived in Italy in 2011, my love for them grew even more. There was the most adorable smoothie shop in Florence, that had a modern Italian feel to it and they mixed up the BEST concoctions ever. More on that later. But for all you busy moms, college students, work babes, or just someone who loves smoothies, here’s one of my everyday go tos.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 frozen banana (I like to slice and freeze lots of them on Sunday to have on hand)
- 1 scoop of vanilla Tone It Up protein powder
- 1 tablespoon of almond butter (I use peanut butter too!)
- Dash of cinnamon for an extra flavor burst!
HOW TO MAKE IT:
Literally just combine all ingredients into a bullet or blender! I like to set my blender to “ice crush” first and then “puree” to make it a nice, thick consistency.
I love to pour it into a cute cup with a cute straw and ENJOY. Let me know what you think! It’s so easy and so delicious and will keep you full all morning!
BONUS TIP: Back to smoothies in Italy. Florence is where I first discovered adding pitted dates to my smoothies too! Every so often I’ll throw one into any smoothie I’m making and it gives it a sweet touch and it’s good for you!
And to all the mamas out there, soon to be mamas, and any babe trying to be a mama- HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
XOXO
