Starting 2019 off with a cliche “GOALS” post but I truly feel when you write things down, you hold yourself more accountable. I’m not making resolutions I cannot keep like weight loss and not eating chocolate because those are unrealistic goals for me. Instead, I’m working on balance. If you’ve been following me, then you know I talk about this a lot because I’m always trying to do it. So 2019 is the year I succeed!

What am I balancing more specifically? Well, of course I always mention the balance between motherhood, career, blog, and wife. But there’s so much more to it. I’m getting more specific with my balance. For example, I have put off working out and food prep (two things I LOVE) periodically throughout the year. This year I want to stay consistent with everything in my life. I cannot physically fit everything in everyday, so I’m making it a goal to balance everything throughout the week. Some days I have to choose working out over posting on the blog and be OK with it. The house isn’t getting cleaned the way I want it all the time (something I majorly struggle with) and thats OK. AND other days NOTHING else gets done except being the best mama I can be to Cash that day because sometimes he just needs my undivided attention all day and those are my absolute favorite days.
So while I work on the balance this year, I’m also realizing i’ll be working on patience. And yes, of course I have other goals that don’t include balance like a new home office/dressing room because I’m growing out of my closet! And of course continuing to grow my blog and interacting with you AMAZING followers daily because without you all, the blog wouldn’t exist! So while it’s a new year and feels so good to have fresh starts, you don’t have to overwhelm your brain with resolutions you cannot keep more than a month. Set realistic goals for yourself this year. CHEERS XOXO
