Hello beauty babes! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted to the blog. I always love being able to sit down and write for you though. Life just gets so crazy sometimes, I’m sure you can relate! Anywhoooo, I wanted to share some seriously amazing, AFFORDABLE beauty finds for all my babes who may be on a budget or who just love new makeup to play around with but don’t want to spend a pretty penny. I walked into Ulta the other day for a few essentials and realized they were having a buy 2 get 1 free on all revolution makeup products. Naturally I HAD to try them out. So here’s what I started with:
This Revolution “Conceal and Define” concealer was an amazing find for only $7! It gives you a full coverage look and I used it as an under eye concealer and foundation! TWO FOR ONE! I used a target beauty blender to apply this and also a L’oreal beauty blender throughout the tutorial.
Next was this Revolution “Reloaded” eyeshadow palette. It’s also only $7, apples smoothly, and stays all day! It looks and feels like high end makeup. I used three colors for my eyelids and another color for my brows! Again, I was able to get two uses out of one product.
Baking Powder….I was skeptical, but now IN LOVE. As this Revolution “Bake and Blot” powder sets on my face over the concealer, it creates a flawless finish and I swear keeps getting better overtime! Baking is a beauty term used when a product sets on your face over a foundation or concealer from the natural heat of your skin creating a flawless finish. With this powder, you don’t have to wipe it off. You just blot it on and leave it, saving you a step! Pretty cool huh? I use the color “Translucent.”
I used Stila eyeliner and Bad Gal Bang mascara (Not as affordable or drugstore but I’ll link them here!)
So a little beauty faux pa, I forgot to photograph myself with the bronzer I used, OOPS. However it is the “NYX matte bronzer” in the shade medium. I used it two ways as well. First as an all over bronzer to make my face glow. Be gentle when applying it all over! And second, I used a contour brush to contour it on my face. It’s such a great product for $9 and stays all day!
My all time FAVORITE product I purchased was this Revolution “Jelly Highlighter” in the shade rose gold. This stuff just adds the BEST finishing touches to your makeup. I applied it on my cheek bones, bridge of my nose, corner of my eyes, and the top of my top lip. I’ll be using this daily for sure and its only $9!
After applying some blush to the apples of my cheeks, I used the NYX “Slide On Lip Pencil” in shade Nuede Suede Shoes, and topped it off with the NYX “Butter Gloss” in the shade tiramisu. It is the perfect everyday, natural lip combo!
